Several Denton-Lake Cities Rotary Club members participated in the Annual Denton-Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce Awards Luncheon.
With all the awards given to local community leaders, Gene Davenport and Pat Smith used the luncheon as an opportunity to present Tom and Dallas Newell with Paul Harris awards.
The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.
Rotary established the recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions to the Foundation. Rotarians have a tradition of supporting the Foundation by honoring others in the community such as Tom and Dallas.
